Hello, and welcome! I can’t tell you how surreal it feels to finally be opening up this space. For so long, my art has lived on social media feeds, in sketchbooks, and in the corners of my studio. But now, at last, it has a true home—not just for finished pieces, but as a little sanctuary where I can invite you behind the curtain of my process, inspirations, and stories.

Since this is our first post together, let me share a little about myself. I’ve been painting since I was a child, and my work has taken many shapes over the years. The thread that has always run through it, though, is my fascination with magic and beauty in the darker and more mysterious corners of life. Mythology, Gothic tales, celestial imagery, and the natural world all weave their way into my paintings. My nature-based spirituality flows through this as well—shaping the symbols I choose, the seasons I follow, and the way I find magic in both darkness and light. Here you’ll find goddesses, witches, faeries, mermaids, vampires, and figures who embody both strength and fragility—archetypes that speak to the balance of shadow and illumination within us all.

Art has always been more than decoration for me. Even when I was young and just beginning to take it seriously, I felt it as a way to connect—to express what words couldn’t, and to transform wonder, deep emotion, and fleeting moments into something tangible and spellbinding. Becoming a mother has deepened this even more, reminding me of how precious time is, how quickly life changes, and how important it is to create beauty wherever we can.

Here on this blog, I’ll be sharing more than just finished paintings. You’ll see works-in-progress, glimpses of my studio life, stories behind specific pieces, seasonal musings, and reflections on what it means to be an artist walking between the liminal and the everyday. My hope is that this space feels both intimate and inspiring—like stepping into my studio with me, surrounded by canvases, glitter, plants, and maybe a candle flickering nearby.
Thank you for being here at the very beginning of this journey. I’m so excited to share what’s coming next. Here’s to finding magic in shadows, wonder in the smallest details, and beauty in the places we least expect it.
With love and starlight,
— Kamille
